Paris is never more visually stunning than at Christmas time. Each of the 20 arrondissements (districts) that make up the city of Paris…light up their individual streets in their own elegant way.
I thought you would enjoy seeing the light show that surrounds every Parisian (and visitor) as they live, work and play in this esthetically beautiful city!
At the end of my picture montage, I will leave you with the stunning illumination of Paris’s most famous Avenue – Champs Élysées!
There is a Christmas Fair held on the Champs Élysées every year. It is a wonderful event with food, boutique shops, ice skating rink, entertainment, crafts and Santa even appears flying over head in his sleigh throughout the night (seriously, for non believers)! So here are some pictures of the beautiful Champs Élysées and it’s Christmas Fair.
Place De La Concorde…is at the Eastern end of Champs Élysées
Boutique shops and food stands…
A very cleverly designed ice skating course for children and adults!
A beautiful intersection along Champs Élysées
Is that Santa…??!!
Santa has arrived…and waves to the crowd!
Standing in the center / mid-point of Avenue Champs Élysées -looking East towards Place De La Concorde – when I turn and look West (next picture) you will see one of the most famous views of the Avenue Champs Élysées — the Arc de Triomphe !
